Downtown Argentinian steakhouse Butcher & Barrel will open a second location in O’Bryonville this Friday, Oct. 23.

It will open in the former Ché space at 2038 Madison Road, which ownership group Ignite Entertainment announced back in early September when Ché’s O’Bryonville location relocated. The news comes as Butcher & Barrel will soon celebrate a decade of operations in 2027.

“Bringing Butcher & Barrel to O’Bryonville is especially meaningful to me because this is my neighborhood, too,” said Juan Imeroni, owner of Ignite Entertainment, in a statement. “We’ve built something really special downtown over the past decade, and I’m excited to bring that same passion for great food, hospitality, and a memorable dining experience to this side of town. O’Bryonville already has so much character and a wonderful mix of local businesses. We want Butcher & Barrel to complement that energy and become a place where neighbors can gather, celebrate and feel right at home.”

Led by longtime Butcher & Barrel Executive Chef James Karlson and Chef de Cuisine James Yannone, the menu showcases bold Argentine-inspired flavors.

Karlson, who has led the downtown restaurant’s culinary direction for more than five years, brings more than a decade of experience, including time at Chicago’s Alara. Yannone complements that expertise with a diverse culinary background spanning Italian, French and Asian fusion cuisine, with previous experience at Cooper’s Hawk and Brio.

The restaurant will feature a second-floor private event space, The Loft, which accommodates up to 40 guests for private dining and celebrations.

Butcher & Barrel O’Bryonville will be open Tuesday through Sunday beginning at 4 p.m. For more information, visit the restaurant’s official website.
