For a limited time, two Queen City icons have teamed up for a deliciously great cause.
Cincinnati-based restaurant chain Frisch’s Big Boy and the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden have collaborated on a few new menu items in honor of Cincy’s beloved hippo princes Fiona to raise funds for the zoo.
The eatery has added Fiona’s Big Berry Pancakes, which are two “fluffy Fiona pancakes” topped with blackberry sauce, unicorn whipped topping and purple sprinkles, served with bacon, sausage, ham or turkey sausage; and the Fiona Big Berry Cake, made with “fluffy Fiona cake,” vanilla ice cream, blackberry sauce, unicorn whipped topping and purple sprinkles, to its menu. We are unsure what the “Fiona” pancakes and cake are infused with to make them “Fiona,” but are pretty sure it’s not actual hippo.
The specials will be available through Sept. 8.
The Fiona treats, in addition to the rest of their menu, are available via delivery and carry-out, as well as dine-in. Visit the Frisch’s website to see which locations are offering dine-in, carry-out or delivery.
