Dayton’s Wayfarer Tavern was named a “Top 50 Independent Restaurant” of 2026 by FSR Magazine.
FSR magazine is a trade publication and digital media platform focused on the full-service restaurant industry. It covers operations, culinary trends and business strategies for casual dining, fine dining and independent hospitality groups.
The magazine said the 50 restaurants were selected because they are “admired by industry insiders and guests alike” and set the standard for “authentic, community-focused dining.”
Opened in 2025, Wayfarer Tavern, 635 6th Ave., mixes Detroit, East Coast and square-cut Midwest pizza stylings — and embraces unorthodox toppings (one of their best-selling pizzas, for example, prominently features pickles).
