We love a holiday that encourages having ice cream for the most important meal of the day, so sign us up for this National Ice Cream for Breakfast Day celebration in Blue Ash.

In honor of the holiday, Gold Spoon Creamery, a small-batch, hand-scooped ice cream shop located in Summit Park, is hosting an event for breakfast and ice cream lovers alike on Saturday, Feb. 3, starting at 9 a.m. The shop will offer four signature breakfast ice cream flavors, as well as espresso drinks.

“Who doesn’t secretly want ice cream for breakfast? What a fun excuse to eat ice cream in the morning; no need to wait until dessert! We love the excitement that the ice cream community shares around this special day and we are so happy to host this national holiday again this year!” Emily Henderson, co-owner of Gold Spoon Creamery, said in a press release.

The ice cream shop partnered with three Cincinnati area businesses for the event, working with Proud Hound Coffee in Silverton on the Cold Brew ice cream and Starlight Doughnut Lab in Norwood on an Everything Bagel Donut ice cream. Cincy Sammys in Mason is also lending a hand, providing freshly baked cinnamon rolls that can be paired with any scoop of ice cream à la mode.

Gold Spoon Creamery is also expanding its partnership with Proud Hound to launch full-service espresso at its Summit Park location. The shop now has a coffee menu that includes lattes, cappuccinos, espresso, drip coffee and more.

Aside from the special breakfast flavors available Saturday, Gold Spoon Creamery offers sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, floats and shakes with 16 flavors made in-house. These flavors include allergy-conscious options like dairy-free ice cream and gluten-free ice cream and waffle cones.
