Miracle, a national nostalgic holiday bar pop-up experience, is returning to transform Pleasant Ridge’s Overlook Lodge into a winter wonderland full of themed cocktails and ugly sweaters.
Starting Monday, Nov. 25, the Overlook will be decked out with a ton of classic Christmasy decor — think garlands, tinsel, lights and vintage holiday tunes — and feature a Miracle cocktail list with drinks like the Christmapolitan, Run Run Rudolph and SanTaRex.
The Miracle concept launched in New York in 2014 when bar owner Greg Boehm’s mom asked him to stop work trying to open his bar, Mace, and transform it into a winter-themed destination between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Miracle on Ninth Street was created and after its success, bar owners around the country reached out to see how they could recreate the Miracle magic in their own establishments.
This year, Miracle will be in over 100 locations across the United States, with a related Tiki-theme Sippin’ Santa experience in select cities as well.
“In our sixth year, we’re excited to keep making Miracle better year after year while keeping our true love for the holiday season alive,” says Boehm in a press release. “We offer a true experience for our guests as soon as they walk through the doors. Our partners across the U.S. and world are all dedicated to delivering exceptional visits with quality cocktails.”
Miracle has also asked all of its pop-ups to host an ugly sweater party on Dec. 2 to see if they can have the “largest combined ugly sweater gathering the world has ever seen.”
Overlook Lodge is located at 6083 Montgomery Road, Pleasant Ridge.
A former menu was provided by Miracle and had the wrong price points.
