Keystone Bar & Grill, a local comfort food chain by hospitality group 4EG, announced that it will be closing its Hyde Park location on Dec. 28 after almost 10 years. The restaurant is well-known for its over-the-top mac and cheese creations and has two other Cincinnati locations — one in Clifton and another in Covington.

The eatery made the announcement on Dec. 14 via a Facebook post, thanking their loyal customers for their support over the past decade.

“Fans of Keystone, lovers of mac & cheese, bacchanalians, beer drinkers, brunchers, and friends,” Dan Cronican, managing partner of 4EG, wrote in a Facebook post. “It is with great thanks to you all that I deliver this message. After almost 10 years in Hyde Park, Keystone Bar & Grill will serve the neighborhood their last BB Kings, Bell’s Two Hearted Ales, and mimosa pitchers on December 27th and 28th…All of us at 4EG want to thank you for your love and support for Keystone Hyde Park. It’s been an incredible ride since we opened the doors on Erie Ave.”

The message goes on to highlight the hospitality group’s growth, giving hints to some new projects that are on the horizon.

“Despite closing our doors in Hyde Park, 4EG continues to grow,” Cronican further explained. “Keystone has been a big part of the growth of 4EG. It has simply come time to close down one of our older locations to make way for our exciting new ventures. We will soon open The Beeline, our new bar concept, in Columbus at Easton Town Center. Our Chicago division is embarking on not one but two great new neighborhood bar concepts. We also have a few other irons in the fire we aren’t ready to reveal just yet,”

The restaurant is throwing a “Last Call” party on Friday, Dec. 27, and a “Farewell Brunch” on Saturday, Dec. 28, and asks for the community to stop by for one last visit.
