Columbus-based cult favorite smooth and buttery ice cream purveyor Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream is taking the show on the road this summer for the Jeni’s Makes Summer Better Tour.
The mobile scoop shop has been posting up in cities including Atlanta, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Washington, D.C. and Cincinnati, offering free ice cream as they go.
According to a release, “Founder Jeni Britton Bauer has been paving the way for artisan ice cream since 2002 and wants to share her expertly crafted flavors with fans. From Brambleberry Crisp to Brown Butter Almond Brittle, every flavor on tour will taste just as good as it does in a Jeni’s scoop shop.”

- 11 a.m.-3 p.m. July 27 at Jungle Jim’s Fairfield (5440 Dixie Highway, Fairfield)
- Noon-2 p.m. July 28 at Warby Parker OTR (1419 Vine St., Over-the-Rhine)
- 3-5 p.m. July 28 at Kroger (4500 Montgomery Road, Norwood)
- 11 a.m.-1 p.m. July 31 at Kroger (6165 Glenway Ave., Western Hills)
- 3-5 p.m. July 31 at Kroger (8421 Winton Road, Finneytown)
Free flavors include: Brown Butter Almond Brittle, Salted Peanut Butter, Brambleberry Crisp, Cream Puff, Frosé, Gooey Buttercake and Darkest Chocolate.
