Just Q'in BBQ

A beloved barbecue joint — and one that’s a presidential favorite — is heading to College Hill.

Just Q’in BBQ and College Hill CURC announced Tuesday the restaurant will be opening a location in the neighborhood’s business district at 5903 Hamilton Ave. with plans to later expand into the adjacent space at Dow’s Corner.

Best known for its Texas-style BBQ that wooed President Joe Biden when he visited the Walnut Hills establishment in January 2023, Just Q’in is planning a pop-up event Saturday, Oct. 14 at 4 p.m. to offer the community a sneak peek of what’s to come.

"We are overjoyed to welcome Just Q’in BBQ to College Hill,” College Hill CURC CEO Kate Greene said in a press release. “This establishment represents more than just a restaurant; it's a testament to the growth of our neighborhood. Just Q’in BBQ's presence adds a flavorful touch to our neighborhood's momentum. We look forward to welcoming residents and visitors to savor the unique experience they offer."

Just Q’in owner Matt Cuff said he’s excited about the upcoming venture.

"We are honored to become a part of the College Hill community and the outstanding work that’s already happening. Our mission of Faith, Love, BBQ means that BBQ is the tool we use to impact the lives of the people and community we serve. We look forward to joining the many other businesses in the neighborhood that are already doing incredible things. Let’s get to work," he said in the release.

Renovations on the College Hill location are expected to begin this month.
