The Summit Hotel is bringing back its popular cocktail mixology classes this fall, starting with a Thanksgiving-themed class to kick off the holiday season.
The Summit’s Food and Beverage Outlets Manager and expert mixologist Zach Harris will lead the first class Thursday, Nov. 2 at the hotel’s Overlook Kitchen + Bar starting at 6 p.m. Attendees will receive step-by-step instructions for two cocktails: a Blackberry French 75 and Rosemary Old Fashioned.
The Blackberry French 75 is a champagne-based cocktail with a fall twist, and the Rosemary Old Fashioned uses seasonal flavors to create a fall version of one of the most traditional drinks. The Summit says both pair well with a charcuterie board or Thanksgiving desserts or can simply be savored on a chilly night.
At the class, attendees can also enjoy light bites and will receive recipe cards to take home so they can craft the drinks for holiday gatherings.
“We’ve had great attendance at our mixology classes in the past, so we’re thrilled to bring this series back for a third year,” Brad Muchnicki, food and beverage director at The Summit, said in a press release. “We’ve scheduled this one for early November this year so you can have time to practice your signature cocktail before Thanksgiving.”
Tickets are $40, plus fees, and can be purchased here. The second mixology class in the series will be held Thursday, Dec. 14.
