International Gin & Tonic Day is Thursday, Oct. 19 and an Over-the-Rhine bar that knows its way around a gin cocktail is holding an event to celebrate the occasion.

Fifty Fifty Gin Club will have a custom, make-your-own, Spanish-style gin and tonic bar available to guests. The bar will feature Northern Row Brewery’s Cincinnati Gin, which is described as ginger-forward and containing floral notes from Krohn Conservatory-grown juniper, lime and bay leaves, as well notes of mandarin orange peel, rounded out with vanilla and cocoa nibs. There will also be a selection of hard-to-find international gins and a variety of exotic accouterments arranged in a Spanish-style copa glass.

The event will also have giveaways as well as snacks, says Fifty Fifty Gin Club. Admission is free, but advanced reservations are encouraged. The gin and tonic bar is $12.

Fifty Fifty Gin Club opens at 6 p.m. Thursday.
