Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up May 3-7, and McDonald’s is saying thanks to our educators by offering them free bakery treats.
Caveat: Teachers must also purchase another menu item to redeem the complimentary goodie.
“Whether teaching virtual, in-person, or a combination of both, teachers have remained a vital backbone of our Cincinnati communities, and this Teacher Appreciation Week, McDonald’s wants to do their part in giving back to the teacher community,” says the fast food chain in a release.
Teachers in Cincinnati (plus Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, Columbus, Dayton, Lima, Toledo and Zanesville) can bring their 2020-21 school I.D. to participating locations to get their free baked good (…with purchase). Bakery items include an apple fritter, blueberry muffin or cinnamon roll.
“Over the last year and a half, the teaching community has stepped up in a big way, and we know how much it took to continue keeping the students engaged and classes going throughout all of the shifts and turbulence,” says Cincinnati-area McDonald’s owner/operator Melvin Pickard. “As local business owners, we are honored to give this small token of appreciation to our teachers as a way to say, ‘thank you.’”
