New Bakery and Dessert Shop Opening in Findlay Market's Launch Space

Desserts at Eliza Jane's BakeShop, 1811 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine

Something sweet is coming to Findlay Market this week. Bakery and dessert shop Eliza Jane’s BakeShop will host its grand opening at the market Friday, Sept. 8.

Eliza Jane’s BakeShop is the newest resident of the market’s Findlay Launch program, a storefront accelerator that allows food entrepreneurs to build real-world experience while lowering the risks that normally come along with opening a small food business. The family-owned business specializes in layered, over-the-top desserts and treats, says co-owner Jillian Adams.

“Named after the matriarch of our family, our business focus is to create layered desserts and treats that create new lasting memories and others that remind us of our favorite times. We are overwhelmed with joy to be joining the Findlay Market family to share with the city and community our love of sweets, family traditions and to expand our business to the next level,” Adams said in a press release.

The grand opening and ribbon-cutting Friday will be held at Eliza Jane’s BakeShop at 1811 Elm St. in Over-the-Rhine starting at 10 a.m. Patrons can get a free cookie with any purchase throughout the day.
