Beer and music fans can check out a brand-new festival in Ft. Mitchell this weekend.

The inaugural NKY Bier & Music Fest, sponsored by meetNKY, will take place Saturday, Aug. 16 from 4-8 p.m. on the DCCH Center grounds at 75 Orphanage Road. The event will feature a lineup of local brews, food vendors and live music to benefit both the Kentucky Guild of Brewers and DCCH Center for Children and Families, a nonprofit that provides services addressing the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of children and families in Northern Kentucky.

Beers on tap will include something for every palate, from traditional styles and hoppy IPAs to fruited beers and rich stouts. Check out the current brewery lineup:

Bands Donkey Shades, Dreaded Mids and Chris From Space will perform. Food and non-alcoholic beverages from local restaurants and food trucks like Bender’s Pub Grub, Gobblin’ Goblin, Wendigo Tea Company and more will also be available.

Cincy Region Ale Trail, a passport program featuring local craft brewers that allows you to earn points and prizes when you visit and check in, will also be on-site. Festivalgoers can learn more about the program at their informational booth.

There are three tiers of tickets. General admission is $52.86 (prices include taxes and fees) and includes access to vendors and live music, plus beer tasting and a tasting glass. VIP includes general admission perks, plus one-hour early entry time at 3 p.m. There is also a Designated Driver ticket for $24.57, which includes access to the vendors and live music, but no beer tasting.
