A Newport brewpub may be closing for good, so this week may be your last chance to visit 16 Lots Southern Outpost.
16 Lots Southern Outpost posted the announcement on social media Friday, writing, “Hey, friends, many of you know, things aren’t looking great for us. Are we closing? Are we not? Truth: this could be our last week. More truth: we’re hoping not – a few irons are still in the fire.”
While the brewpub hasn’t expanded on what may come next, it did write that it hosted its final brunch this weekend, with the kitchen closing for good Sunday night. It’ll remain open this week with just beverage offerings.
“If next week is our last hurrah, we need to run it all dry – we’ll be open nightly to ‘kill the kegs’ and bottles. Come say hi (perhaps, goodbye?), ’cuz now more than ever, we need your support,” it wrote.
The bar will be open Monday from 4-10 p.m. The Kevin McCoy Band will be playing and the brewpub will have a special IPA on tap in honor of its (possible) last week.
Check 16 Lots Southern Outpost’s social media for updates on its daily hours during its final week (for now).
The brewpub also has another location (its original location) at 753 Reading Road in Mason.
