Northside Yacht Club 4231 Spring Grove Ave., Northside A little bit naughty nautical, a little bit rock ‘n roll, Northside Yacht Club is the perfect, chill spot to kick your feet up for the summer. The landlocked yacht club serves up delicious sandwiches, burgers, wings and fries, as well as vegan and gluten-free options. They also have an extensive craft cocktail list – including their infamous peanut butter tequila shooter – as well as brunch during the weekend. Photo: facebook.com/NorthsideYachtClub

Northside Yacht Club is getting ready to celebrate its ninth anniversary. To mark the occasion, it’ll be throwing a big party complete with food, beer, music and even some furry guests.

The Northside restaurant and bar will be throwing its annual bash on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 1-10 p.m. The day will be packed with fundraising activities, and all the proceeds from the planned entertainment will be donated to Cincinnati Animal CARE (CAC). In its nine years in business, Northside Yacht Club has raised over $20,000 for local charities.

The party will feature the annual tapping of Rhinegeist’s Dinghy, with $1 from every beer sold going toward CAC. Dogs from CAC will also be joining in on the festivities, partaking in a hot dog eating contest (for the fastest time, not the number of hot dogs eaten), as well as the Foster Dog Licking booth. There will also be a dunk tank featuring Cincinnati celebrities, raffles and a Shot + Slap booth, which now features non-alcoholic shots.

Guests can enjoy music from DJ Colonel Midnight and DJ Justin Shaffer of Approximate Knowledge Trivia all day outside. Northside Yacht Club is also bringing back its famous deep-fried coney for one day only and will have a new Boot Goof Juice recipe from Mollie Bee.

Celebrity support for the event includes local chef Kayla Robinson, bartender extraordinaire Molly Wellmann, drag queens Molly Mormen and Kiara Chimera, DJ Boywife, local news personalities, musician Jon Lewis of the Dopamines and more. You could also win a signed Mighty Ducks jersey from actor Emilio Estevez. Dog toy and treats company BarkBox has also donated.

While dogs will be in attendance, Northside Yacht Club is asking guests to leave their own pups at home due to the size of the crowd expected. You also must be 21 or older with a valid ID to be at the restaurant and bar after 8 p.m.
