OpenTable’s annual list of the 100 best restaurants in America is out and two of the nation’s top eateries are in Cincinnati — for the second year in a row.
The list, which OpenTable says is created by analyzing “12,000,000+ reviews of more than 28,000 restaurants across the country” from verified diners, features both downtown upscale contemporary Euro-style restaurant Boca and its downstairs sister trattoria Sotto. And not only are both restaurants on the list stacked on top of each other, they’re also owned by the same restaurant group, helmed by chef David Falk. (Falk’s Boca Restaurant Group also owns downtown’s Nada.)
Boca, with a 4.5 rating on the site out of 3,018 reviews, and Sotto, with a 4.5 rating out of 3,780 reviews, are the only two restaurants on the list in Ohio. (Note: Steakhouse chains Ruth’s Chris and The Capital Grille also made the list and they both have locations in Cincinnati.)
Last year, both the restaurants were included as the only Ohio restaurants. In 2017, the list included three Cincinnati eateries, also the only ones listed in Ohio: Sotto, Restaurant L and Orchids at Palm Court.
