The deep-fried offspring of The Eagle in Over-the-Rhine, CityBird is a fast-casual chicken tender joint from Cincinnati-based Thunderdome Restaurant Group. The eatery dishes out cage-free, all-natural chicken paired with housemade craft sauces, in addition to sandwiches, salads and sides.
After opening in February of 2018, the chicken joint is expanding with a second location at Harper’s Point in Symmes Township on July 15.
The grand opening kicks off at 10:30 a.m. and, according to a press release from Thunderdome, “the early birds get their tenders for free — the first 50 guests will get their meal on the house.”
Differing from the take-out model at CityBird’s original location, the Harper’s Point eatery will offer a generously-sized dining space for guests who would prefer a casual sit-down meal in addition to carry-out.
During the opening day, a portion of the proceeds from the sales will benefit Symmes Township’s NEST Community Learning Center, a “local non-profit dedicated to addressing academic and non-academic barriers that perpetuate the cycle of generational poverty for low-income, at-risk youth in suburban communities,” the press release explains.
Open 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. daily, CityBird will be located at 11309 Montgomery Road, Suite D in Symmes Township, next to the Harper’s Point Currito — a sister company within Thunderdome.
