A Cincinnati chocolate shop celebrated its relocation with a grand opening Friday. Ruby’s Chocolates, formerly located on Isabella Avenue in Oakley, can now be found at Findlay Market.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks Friday morning kicked off Ruby’s Chocolates’ grand opening. The family-owned and -operated business specializes in gourmet chocolate treats like truffles and truffle cakes, barks, brittle and more.
Melissa Mueller founded Ruby’s Chocolates in 2008 after being encouraged by friends and family to turn her chocolate-making hobby into a business, starting it as a wholesale chocolate supplier for local small businesses and regional specialty grocery stores like Dorothy Lane Market and Jungle Jim’s.
Mueller expanded the business by opening a brick-and-mortar store in Oakley in 2018, but closed that store to move to the Findlay Market area.
“Entering Findlay Market marks a significant milestone for us that we humbly cherish,” Sina Danesh, managing director of Ruby’s Chocolates, said in a press release. “Our journey has been fueled by passion and perseverance, and we’re thrilled to bring our brand to the vibrant city of Cincinnati.”
Ruby’s Chocolates is located at 1725 Elm St. in Over-the-Rhine. It’ll be open Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit rubyschocolates.com.
