A popular Over-the-Rhine restaurant will soon close its doors, but its owner says they’ll return in a new, bigger location.

Salazar, which is known for its farm-inspired menu, will host its last service on New Year’s Eve. Owner and chef Jose Salazar made the announcement on his Instagram Wednesday.

“After ten years of operation at this jewel of a corner, on this quaint street in the heart of our beloved O.T.R, Ann and I have made the decision to close Salazar at the end of the year,” Salazar wrote. “We’ve known for some time now that we have outgrown this space and as our ten-year lease is expiring, we’ve begun to search for a new, larger, more efficient location for Salazar 2.0.”

Salazar said he and his wife, Ann, will keep the 1410 Republic St. location and turn it into something new. They say they will announce their plans for the space soon. Salazar will also soon offer more details on the final New Year’s Eve service, as well as a special guest star on their official Dec. 16 anniversary.

In his post, Salazar also took the time to thank everyone who made their time at the 1410 Republic St. location unforgettable, from the team members to their vendors and especially the guests.

“But we want to especially thank you, our loyal guests. Thank you for being a part of this sublime, albeit sometimes challenging journey. You’ve helped us learn and grow. You’ve been there through the ups and downs, and it’s because of you that we’ve persevered. Thank you for allowing us to share in your lives and to be a part of this unbelievably generous community at large. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have had this spectacular opportunity. Together, we’ve made memories to last a lifetime,” Salazar wrote.
