A celebration of hard seltzer is brewing in Cincinnati this summer with the return of March First Brewing’s Seltzer Smash.
Back for its fifth year, Seltzer Smash will be taking place Saturday, July 19 from 11:30 a.m. to midnight at both the brewery’s taprooms in Blue Ash and at Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati, as well as at FigLeaf Brewing in Middletown. More than 10 flavors of March First’s signature hard seltzer, Astra, will be featured, with a different lineup of flavors, depending on the taproom.
“Seltzer Smash offers us a creative way for us to test out new flavors with our core customers every year,” March First spokesperson Josh Engel said in a previous press release. “What better way to get direct feedback than to throw a huge party and invite the whole city?”
This year, March First says it’s throwing it back with a nostalgic twist, celebrating Astra’s Favorite Flavors, as well as reviving the most beloved flavors from past Seltzer Smash events. The event will also have all Astra flavors currently in production as well.
Flavors at the Blue Ash location include:
- Pink Lemonade
- Blue Snowcone
- Galaxy Grape
- Lemon Drop
- Burst (Pink Starburst)
- Bomb Pop (Red, White and Blue Popsicle)
- Spicy Margarita
- Bananas Foster
- Sherbet
- Peach Bellini
Both the Fountain Square taproom and FigLeaf Brewing will offer Pink Lemonade, Blue Snowcone, Galaxy Grape, Spicy Margarita and Bananas Foster.
The breweries will also be open for normal operating hours during Seltzer Smash, so beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks will be available as well.
