Second Sight Spirits, a distillery and lounge in Ludlow, Kentucky, announced on Thursday that it would be closing at the end of November.

The announcement took the form a video. In the video, one of the venue’s owners, held up card delivering information about the closure. One of them gave a list of reasons why running the distillery had become difficult, including “costs,” “tourism” and “staff health,” among other reasons. As a result, the business will not be renewing its distilling license for 2027.

“It’s hard to put into words what this place and all of you have meant to us,” the written portion of the announcement reads. “We’ve met incredible people who became friends, created unforgettable memories, and somehow turned a little distillery in Ludlow into something much bigger than we ever imagined.”

In spite of this, the venue announced that in the remaining time of the business’ operation, there would be numerous events, shows and other activities to close out its twilight months.

“So, come see us,” the announcement reads.
