If you’re looking for a festive way to get into the holiday spirit, you can get crafty and creative at a gingerbread decorating contest in Over-the-Rhine this weekend.
On Saturday, Dec. 14, Makers Bakers Co. will host the Gingerbread Brauhaus at the Samuel Adams Cincinnati Taproom from 6-8 p.m. The contest will feature custom gingerbread kits designed to look like miniature breweries for participants to test their decorating skills on.
The breweries will be pre-assembled and participants will be provided with all the decorating supplies The winner will receive a specially curated prize basket.
Tickets are $30 on Eventbrite and include entry into the contest, the decorating supplies and a pint of Sam Adams’ GingerbreadBrauhaus beer — a gingerbread cookie-inspired winter warmer that features molasses, brown sugar, ginger, allspice and cinnamon. Gingerbread Brauhaus will also be available on draft and in cans.
