A Tiki bar just steps away from Ziegler Pool in Over-the-Rhine is closing its doors for good.

10th Island Tiki Bar & Grill, the second concept from Poco Moco Restaurant Group following Onolicious Hawaii on Court Street, will have its last day of service on Sept. 13. Located at 213 Woodward Street, it is the third bar to open and subsequently close in that space following Ziggy’s and the taco-focused concept Yuli’s. The bar announced the closure in a social media post.

“We have had an amazing time in this space and look forward to seeing what is in store for it next,” the post read.

The menu at 10th Island is Hawaiian-influenced, similar to Onolicious, but the items are skewed towards lighter fare — like mochiko-spiced chicken wings, Maoli mahi mahi tacos or a Waimea Bay salad. The bar also featured an extensive selection of drinks, including several liquors infused with Hawaiian spice blends.

Now that 10th Island is closing, Onolicious is the last remaining space in the city’s urban core serving traditional Hawaiian food.

“Please come see us over the next couple of weeks. There are some dishes and drinks here that might not be available again, anywhere in the universe, after we are gone. Please be sure to let our staff know how much you appreciate them,” the post concluded.
