You may see a familiar local face when tuning in to NBC’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this evening (May 7).
Cincinnati Funk legend Bootsy Collins will take the stage on the popular weeknight show, using the platform to bring awareness to the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.
The charity provides financial assistance to members of the music community that have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
“The MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund has raised nearly $14 million dollars to support thousands of music industry professionals affected by the pandemic,” reads the fund’s website. “It is the largest amount of money raised, with the most recipients helped, for any single event in our history. However, the need remains great, and these unique times remain critical for music people.”
