Indie Rock icons Modest Mouse are gearing up to release their seventh studio album — The Golden Casket — on June 25.
And to support the new material, the band is hitting the road.
Modest Mouse will be playing the new ICON Music Center at The Banks on Oct. 5 with special guests Future Islands. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 26 at ticketmaster.com and ICONMusicCenter.com.
The Golden Casket “hovers in the liminal space between raw Punk power and experimental studio science,” says a release.
On this album, frontman Isaac Brock explores “the degradation of America’s psychic landscape through the glass of the smartphone screen and invisible technology,” the release continues, and it also “touches on a new theme in his life, fatherhood.”
To coincide with the tour announcement, Modest Mouse has just released the second single off the new album: “Leave a Light On.”
Listen to “Leave a Light On” and “We Are Between,” released earlier this month, below. And pre-order the album at modestmouse.lnk.to/TheGoldenCasket.
