Rock n’ Roll legends Mötley Crüe brought The Return of the Carnival of Sins tour to Riverbend Tuesday night.
The band is celebrating their 45th anniversary as a group and the 20th anniversary of the original Carnival of Sins tour.
Band members Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee and John 5 took the stage just after 9 p.m. and delivered an energetic performance of hits like “Shout at the Devil,” “Home Sweet Home,” and “Kickstart My Heart.”
For being in their mid-to-late sixties, they still put on one hell of a rock performance. But the real star of the show was lead guitarist John 5, who joined the band in 2022 after original guitarist Mick Mars retired. He’s known for his previous work with Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, and David Lee Roth. His energy was unmatched, and it is clear that even though he’s not an original member, Crüeheads have welcomed him with open arms.
