Soulful Folk Rock Singer/Songwriter Amos Lee to Play Cincinnati in September

Lee — whose latest album, 'My New Moon,' was released last summer to widespread critical acclaim and strong chart debuts — will play Taft Theatre Sept. 6

Today it was announced that Soulful Folk/Rock singer/songwriter Amos Lee will play Cincinnati's Taft Theatre on Sept. 6. Tickets for the concert are $39-50-$89.50 and go on sale (here) this Friday, April 5 at 10 a.m. Madison Cunningham, who's been compared to Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake, will open the show.

Lee's latest album, My New Moon, was released last summer on Dualtone Records to widespread critical acclaim and strong chart debuts. Billboard called the LP “the most personal and deeply felt of his seven studio albums" and it topped the Rock and Americana/Folk charts when it was first released.

Though many of the glowing reviews of My New Moon spotlighted how the Philly-based performer was in peak form in terms of songwriting, the album also contains a potent cover of Marvin Gaye's perpetually timely "What’s Going On."
