The 2022 Cincy Blues Fest is set to be held at the Schmidlapp Event Lawn at Smale Riverfront Park July 16.

Blues music from a wide-ranging array of award-winning musicians will be performed from two stages at this 28th annual musical celebration.

Performers include International Blues Challenge Best Guitarist, Noah Wotherspoon, Grammy-nominated R&B singer Shaun Murphy, St. Louis-based musician Marquise Knox, 2022 Cincy Blues Challenge winners Blues Breakdown, plus David Burk, Bob Lese and more.

The event is put on by the Cincy Blues Society with a mission to “promote and advance the culture and tradition of blues music as an original American art form,” per a release. They say their hope is to honor the history of blues while “celebrating our present.”

Tickets are $20 and on sale now. Doors open at 2 p.m. and music will last from 3-11 p.m. July 16.

The Schmidlapp event lawn is located at 124 Mehring Way E., The Banks. Find more information at cincyblues.org.
