West Chester will be getting a little bit country again next summer with the return of the Voices of America Country Music Fest. From Thursday, Aug. 7 through Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, some of the biggest names in country music will be hitting the stage at Voice of America MetroPark for the third-annual festival.

On Friday, the festival announced the third headliner performing in West Chester next August: country solo artist and member of blues-rock band Hootie & the Blowfish Darius Rucker. Rucker will perform on the first night of the festival and joins a star-studded lineup that includes HARDY, Bailey Zimmerman and 30-plus other nationally recognized country music artists.

Rucker first hit it big as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of Grammy Award-winning band Hootie & the Blowfish, who have sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, including their Double Diamond-certified (21-time Platinum) debut Cracked Rear View, which is still among the top 10 best-selling studio albums of all time. Rucker went on to release his first country album in 2008 and has since had four albums hit No. 1 on the Billboard Country chart, 10 No. 1 singles on country radio and 11 Gold, Platinum or multi-Platinum certified hits. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2012 and won his third Grammy in 2014 for Best Solo Country Performance with his cover of “Wagon Wheel,” one of the top five best-selling country songs ever.

“We wanted to kick things off in a big way going into year three. The kickoff concert is for our fans!” Tyler Wogenstahl, president of Further Concepts and Investors, said in a press release. “Adding a fourth day of country music to this festival with a headliner like Darius Rucker was our way of saying THANK YOU to our fans.”
