For the new year’s first opening show at Clay Street Press, Mark Patsfall is joined in a three-person exhibition entitled A Seductive Journey by Mark Dejong and Steve Pastz. The three traveled to Cambodia and Vietnam together in the spring of last year and have all made artistic responses to their shared journey. The profound effect travel has on artists is documented through art history. But maybe more interesting is the unique differences between individuals’ experiences of the same place. The three globetrotters have made work in a range of media, including photography, video, etchings, woodcut prints, installation and more. Such diverse solutions touch on the powerful and unusual ways that the memory of a place grows and changes in our minds. The opening reception is 6 p.m. Friday as part of Over-the-Rhine’s Final Friday Art Walk. The exhibition runs Final Fridays and noon-4 p.m. Saturdays through March 13.
