For the fifth year in a row, the Association of Art Museum Directors unites to celebrate Art Museum Day on Sunday. This year, three area art institutions will contribute opportunities for audiences to get involved. The Taft Museum of Art (316 Pike St., Downtown) will offer free admission and guided tours of the gardens, the Tafts’ home and art collection, as well as a tour of special exhibition Threads of Heaven. The Cincinnati Art Museum (953 Eden Park Drive, Mount Adams) — which always offers free admission — will host free special craft activities, a family scavenger hunt and public tours of the permanent collection. The Contemporary Arts Center (44 E. Sixth St., Downtown) will set up an interactive building project allowing visitors to collaborate on the creation of a city grid.
