Iris BookCafe’s photo curator William Messer is offering a show of French photographer Bernard Plossu’s work based on trips to Mexico in ¡Ándele!: Mexico in Plossu. Plossu, born in Vietnam, first went there in 1965-1966 as a 20-year-old to see his maternal grandparents and visited three more times in the next 15 years to capture life as he saw it in a changing Mexico. The 30 black-and-white silver gelatin prints in this exhibition were printed and personally selected by Plossu. He is well established in France, where he has published more than 20 books. His latest is 2014’s ¡Vamonos! Bernard Plossu in Mexico. Through May 24. Free. 1331 Main St., Over-the-Rhine, irisbookcafe.com.
