Although exhibition opening receptions can be a great opportunity to meet with artists in a more formal gallery setting, if one wants to truly get into the mind of the artist, nothing compares to the chance to visit a working studio — that sacred space where many artists hone their craft. Visionaries+Voices, always searching for ways to engage the local community, hosts a monthly informal Open Studio event for artists, staff and visitors alike to make art and explore different mediums at the Northside location. This is also the last chance to catch Aaron Ringeisen’s Feral Heart Animal Magic exhibition before it ends on Aug. 1.
6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 31. Free. V+V, 3841 Spring Grove Ave, Northside, visionariesandvoices.com.
