Writer-director Drake Doremus follows up Like Crazy — his romantic drama starring Felicity Jones and Anton Yelchin as a young couple struggling to maintain a sense of connection as they navigate the tricky waters of immigration issues — with Breathe In, another drama featuring Jones as a foreign exchange student. This time she upsets the status quo in an upstate New York community and the internal dynamic of her host family (headed by Guy Pearce and Amy Ryan). Expect blazing sparks among the three leads, but prepare to settle in and pay attention to the subtle nuances Doremus teases from the premise. Opens April 4 at Mariemont Theatre.
