“When I was a younger comic, my material was more absurd,” Dan Gabriel says, “because I didn’t have as much life experience to talk about. Now that I’m a dad and a husband and living in Los Angeles — and I’m trying to be a writer and a producer — I’m wearing all these different hats and it gives me all these different perspectives that are great for material.”
No stranger to our town, Gabriel recorded the first of his two comedy CDs here. Things are a little different now for Gabriel. “I think as I grow up and mature as a comic and a human being, I am talking more about my life, and less about random shit that has nothing to do with anything.”
