Former President Donald Trump is headlining Eric Deters’ “Freedom Fest” in Northern Kentucky this September, Deters announced Tuesday, June 27 on Twitter.

“Mark your calendar. Save the date! The Midwest’s LARGEST and BEST patriotic political event in America!” Deters said in a June 27 Tweet, along with a list of notable guests.

Deters, a conservative YouTuber, podcaster and former candidate for Kentucky Governor, has been suspended from practicing law in the state due to ethical violations. He also reportedly pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges in 2022 for chasing his nephew with his truck after the teenager flipped him off.

Deters has organized multiple “Freedom Fests” at his home farm in Morning View, Kentucky, about 30 miles south of Cincinnati. The Sept. 9 event will be the first time Trump has RSVP’d “yes” to one of Deters’ “patriotic political” functions, giving Trump a stage to campaign for his re-election.

Other members of the Trump family slated to attend include Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, as well as conservative personalities like Kimberly Guilfoyle, Dinesh D’Souza, and Dog the Bounty Hunter.

The free “family-focused” event is bring-your-own food, beverages and chairs, but Deters promises to supply music in the form of the Mark Farner’s American Band, as well as fireworks.

While still campaigning to once again be elected president, Trump faces two indictments, including one in federal court for his handling of classified documents. Deters routinely rails against the charges in videos posted to social media. Other routine posts include tirades against Hunter Biden, transphobic memes, and conspiracy theories about COVID vaccines.

Deters has also said he will announce his decision to run for Northern Kentucky congressman Thomas Massie’s seat during “Freedom Fest,” whose recent lack of support for the former president has angered Deters.

“I’ve already said that I’m probably going to run against Thomas Massie,” he said in a video posted to Facebook and Twitter. “Thomas Massie voted with 19 other Republicans to not censure Adam Schiff. It’s outrageous.”

Massie tweeted his endorsement for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in April.
