The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network of Greater Cincinnati (GLSEN) presents its LGBTQ Youth Prom, a safe and inclusive school prom experience for students age 13 through high school. The theme of the 14th annual event is “Night of Noise,” celebrating the empowering voice that LGBTQ youth have in their schools and communities when they act against forms of bullying and harassment. The evening’s festivities include two separate party events: the prom for students, with dancing, a DJ, snacks and soda; and the Safe Space Soiree, an adult fundraiser where you can recreate your old prom night, in a retro-’80s high school dance theme. The Safe Space Soiree includes dinner, music, dancing, a silent auction and an open wine and beer cocktail hour from 7-8 p.m.
