Cincinnati World Cinema returns with Danny Tedesco’s The Wrecking Crew, an illuminating documentary about a fruitful period in Pop music history. It screens 4 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday at The Carnegie in Covington, which is rapidly becoming the go-to venue for local film events.
As usual, CWC has plenty of supplementary goodies on tap; The Sunday screening will also feature a rare live musical performance by The New Lime, a ’60s group of some local renown, as well as a catered reception with cash bar. Monday’s screening will include a post-screening discussion centering on Cincinnati’s ’60s music scene. Proceeds from both Wrecking Crew screenings will benefit the Michael W. Bany Music Scholarship Fund. Sunday’s tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at door; Monday’s are $8 in advance; $10 at the door.
