It’s duck season again. Rubber duck season, that is. This Sunday will mark the 15th anniversary of the Regatta, the longest-running and largest rubber duck race in the nation. As part of this year’s Riverfest bash, more than 85,000 duckies will be dropped from the Purple People Bridge into the Ohio River and swim a quarter mile along the Serpentine Wall. The owner of the duck that wins the race will score a 2010 Honda Insight Hybrid plus a chance to win $1 million. Ducks can be purchased online, at local Kroger stores, PNC and National City locations or by phone at 513-529-DUCK. A $25 donation will buy you six ducks, and that money will help feed a Cincinnati family of four for a week. 3 p.m. Purple People Bridge, Newport. $100 for 24 ducks; $50 for 12; $25 for 6; $5 per duck.
