The Newport Aquarium gets in the Halloween spirit with the Ghosts of Pirate Cove. There will be underwater sword fights, pumpkin decorating, underwater pumpkin decorating, underwater pirate shows that tell the tale of Captain Dubloon and his crew, treasure hunts and more. Toss in a few sharks for thrills and pirate storytelling, and you’ve got the makings of the most unique and entertaining kid-friendly Halloween event in the region. $18.95 for adults; $5 for children in costume. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily through Oct. 31.
