The Mercantile Library’s Literary Lunch series continues this week with a visit from Cathleen Schine, who requested that the library be included on her current book tour.
Schine’s latest novel, Fin & Lady, centers on an 11-year-old boy who, when orphaned, must move in with his older half-sister in 1960s Greenwich Village. People magazine has dubbed Schine the “modern-day Jewish Jane Austen,” a designation earned via best-selling novels like The Love Letter and The Three Weissmanns of Westport.
