Disneynature, as a brand, has seized upon an ingenious opportunity to tap into the wildlife film market by crafting heartwarmingly human narratives out of the experiences of various members of the animal kingdom. This time out, Monkey Kingdom focuses on a community of monkeys living in an abandoned human city in the jungles of South Asia that has slipped back into the clutches of nature. It tells the story of a newborn monkey and his mother, a duo existing along the margins of monkey society, striving to secure a better place in the social order. With narration from Tina Fey, Monkey Kingdom sounds like a race to the top of 30 Rock. (Opens wide Friday, April 17) (G) Not reviewed
