Kids and parents can celebrate a family-friendly New Year like party animals — before midnight.
Catch a glimpse of the final days of the Festival of Lights during the Happy Zoo Year event, complete with an early NYE countdown, Madcap Puppet Theatre black-light show, party favors and costumed characters plus appearances by Baby Zoo Year and Father Time. An early New Year countdown begins at 8:55 p.m. at the Wings of Wonder Theater with fireworks. And remember, parents, the zoo does indeed serve beer, including their own Moerlein-brewed Red River Hog ale.
