Only have time for one holiday show? I have two reasons for recommending Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s off-site production at Arnold’s Bar & Grill in downtown Cincinnati. First, as the title says, it’s “every Christmas story ever told.” The other is that it’s a great deal of fun and that’s probably what you’re looking for, right? You’ll get a full season of holiday cheer in just 90 minutes, with just four actors portraying a multitude of “beloved holiday classics” and characters — from Scrooge and Santa to Frosty the Snowman, Charlie Brown and the Grinch. It’s the fifth year that CSC has offered the piece, with audiences growing annually.

Director Jeremy Dubin remarks, “This cast has so much fun together that the show has become a very personal holiday tradition for all of us. Returning audiences will enjoy a fresh round of fruitcake jokes and new audiences will be amazed at Sara Clark’s frighteningly accurate Jimmy Stewart impression.” Performances are on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. through Dec. 28. You can come at 6 p.m. and order dinner (not included in the price of admission).
