Opening day for the Cincinnati Reds always is magical for fans and players alike. The Pittsburgh Pirates eked out a 5-4 win over the Reds during the March 30 season opener at Great American Ball Park, but Cincinnati bats were hopping. Reds second baseman Jonathan India scored in the first inning, third baseman Spencer Steer knocked in a homer in the bottom of the fourth and infielder Jason Vosler had a triple in the fifth.
