Taste of Cincinnati kicks off tomorrow and offers not only the best in local culinary arts but also some of Cincinnati’s finest musical acts. Below is the full schedule of Taste entertainment (including a switch-up on the CityBeat stage Sunday, with Buckra replacing All the Day Holiday at 5:30 p.m.).—-
Local musician Kelly Thomas has been announced as this year’s winner of the “Katie Reider Spirit of Music Award.” The award will be presented to Thomas by Karen Reider, wife of the late locally-bred singer/songwriter, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Metromix Stage (at P&G Gardens). Thomas (leader of Kelly Thomas and the Fabulous Pick-Ups, duet partner to Ryan Malott of 500 Miles to Memphis and guiding light on a new all-star Gospel project due in a couple of weeks) has raised thousands of dollars for numerous charities over the past several years with her popular benefit concerts. Kelly and the Pick-Ups perform at 1 p.m. Sunday on the Government Square Stage.
