If you’ve recently run into a man in Cincinnati who was claiming to be a federal agent, watch out — he may have been an imposter.
A federal grand jury has charged David Lomache with impersonating a federal employee, says a release from the United States Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Ohio.
Lomache, who is 61, also is charged with making fake IDs claiming he was a special agent with Homeland Security as well as an employee of the Defense Logistics Agency, the attorney’s office says.
Documents say that Lomache obtained a United States Federal Contractor badge and impersonated a civilian technician.
He allegedly produced fraudulent identification documents in January.
Lomache was arrested April 16 and is scheduled to appear at a detention hearing Wednesday.
According to the attorney’s office, Lomache “is charged with two counts of fraud in connection with identification documents, a federal crime punishable by up to 15 years in prison, and one count of impersonating a federal officer, which carries a potential maximum prison sentence of up to three years in prison.”
