The City of Cincinnati has created a comprehensive COVID-19 case tracker dashboard that shows not only how many cases of the virus have been confirmed in the city — as well as hospitalization numbers, deaths and recoveries — but also where those cases are located and the breakdown based on age, sex and race.
The interactive neighborhood map also lets users click on specific neighborhoods to get individual case information for that area. You can also alter the map to show cases by Zip Code. These are total cases overall since recording began. Westwood has had the most confirmed cases, with 405. California has had zero confirmed cases.
You can also track the total case numbers over time on a graph.
As of this morning, the dashboard was last updated July 1 (you can see the update info at the bottom of the page). And the map shows there were 2,363 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cincinnati, 316 hospitalizations, 65 deaths and 1,293 recoveries.
From June 30 to July 1, there were 101 new cases of COVID reported.
On June 26, the Cincinnati Health Department issued a press release saying there was a spike in new COVID-19 cases in the city. And on Thursday, Gov. Mike DeWine unveiled a new color-coded Public Health Advisory Alert System for the state. Currently, Hamilton County is on a Level 3: Red alert, which means there is a very high exposure and spread of COVID.
