Weather. We have it. Or at least a slight risk for a severe bout of it.
According to the National Weather Service we have two current weather advisories out for the area: a flash flood watch and a tornado watch.
So if you wanted to spend your evening quarantine hours out of the house exploring or taking a walk or drinking in your backyard, bad news: the clouds are crying. It’s wet. There may be thunder. There may be tornadoes. You will have to continue to stay inside and entertain yourself by watching more Netflix, reading, playing a game or staring outside…at the weather (aka god’s TV).
The flash flood watch is in effect for a whole bunch of counties including Boone, Campbell and Kenton in Kentucky; and Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont and Hamilton in Ohio (you can read the full list of Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio counties here).
The National Weather Service says, “Occasional showers and thunderstorms with periods of heavy rainfall can be expected through Tuesday evening. Storm total rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches will be possible with some localized amounts to around 4 inches. This heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding in some locations. People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas, and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.”
In terms of severe weather, a tornado watch has been issued for the area east of I-75 until 9 p.m.

If you can’t see the counties clearly on that map, here’s another view from WCPO chief meteorologist Steve Raleigh. So not much of a risk for those in Hamilton County, but steps up for those in Warren, Clermont, Campbell and Pendleton counties and east.
The weather service has also been issuing tornado warnings for areas by Columbus.
