Agave & Rye is opening a three-level restaurant and entertainment facility in Pleasant Ridge this September.
The location will be in a renovated landmark building at 6112 Montgomery Road, featuring a main-level restaurant with an open kitchen, a wraparound bar and a large front patio. There will also be an upstairs dining hall for groups and celebrations.
In addition, there will be a hidden basement bourbon speakeasy featuring a curved bar, private “rack room” and an extensive bourbon and tequila collection.
The restaurant will serve Agave & Rye’s signature tacos, handcrafted margaritas and bourbon and tequila selections.
Located within Pleasant Ridge’s entertainment district and Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area, the project represents a major investment in the property and is expected to create dozens of local jobs.

Josh Willmann, vice president of the Pleasant Ridge Development Corporation, called the announcement in a news release another milestone in the continued growth of the neighborhood’s business district.
The exact opening date, operating hours and grand-opening events will be announced closer to opening.
In addition to operating Agave & Rye, Epic Brands owns concepts including Son of a Butcher Steak House, Whiskey Yard, Tokyo Pie and Outlaw Speedway.
